That's right! I'm organizing a deviantArt Meetup. It shall take place...

Saturday, August 1st, 1pm at Central Station, Newcastle

Unlike most dA meet-ups, this one is fairly relaxed. The idea is simply to meet up, chat with groovy people and have a kickass time.

Lunch will definately be on the cards and Newcastle offers a variety of places such as Pizza Hut, Frankies and Bennies, Mr Lou's (Chinese Buffet), Weatherspoons and other fast food places like McDonalds, Burger King and KFC. However, I'll be wanting to book us a table to make sure we can be accomodated seats, so I we will be picking a place to eat before the date of the meet up so we can try to make a reservation.

Also, there is a possibility of going to see a movie at the new Empire Cinema in the Gate. Hopefully I'll be able to give you all a list of the movies playing on that date, but they're not available JUST YET, but they will be very soon. However, for the sake of fairness, below are the prices for the Cinema:

Adults (16+) = £6.80
Children (15 and younger) = £5.80

If you are under 15, but are lucky to look older, you WILL need to bring a form of ID if you want to get the child's price at the cinema. Technically, if there are younger people, we COULD get family tickets (2 adults, 2 child or 1 adult 3 child) for £18 which would be MUCH cheaper and easier on everyone, but that entirely depends on what kind of situation we have.

As for the rest of the day, nothing has been put in stone. The main mission of the day is to meet people and enjoy each other's company. If you want to bring some of your artwork along to share with people, that would be fantastic. We also advise you to bring a camera to take some photos of the day as I definately will be.
