Song of the Month

"I Dare You" by Shinedown</i></u>

Hello, let me introduce you to
The characters in the show
One says yes, one says no
Decide - which voice in your head you can keep alive

Even in madness, I know you still believe
Paint me your canvas so I become
What you could never be

I dare you to tell me to walk through the fire
wear my soul and call me a liar
I dare you to tell me to walk through the fire
I dare you to tell me
I dare you to

Hello, are you still chasing
The memories in shadows
Some stay young, some grow old
Come alive, there are thoughts unclear
You can never hide

Even in madness, I know you still believe
Paint me your canvas so I become
What you could never be

I dare you to tell me to walk through the fire
wear my soul and call me a liar
I dare you to tell me to walk through the fire
I dare you to tell me
I dare you to

Hello
Hello...
I dare you to tell me to walk through the fire
Brand my soul and call me a liar
I dare you to tell me to walk through the fire
I dare you to tell me
I dare you to
Hello...
Hello...
I dare you to tell me
I dare you to
I dare you to tell me
I dare you to

The Children's DeclineTwisted decadence and dammed desires,
Souls lost to the darkest indulgences.
Flowing free from a million bloodied wounds,
The taste of victory is turned to bitter ash.
The phoenix rises from the blackest pit.
Better for it to have perished in the abyss,
Than to fall from grace, honour and perfection,
For the warned cries of blood fell on deaf ears.
Loyalty to thy brothers is now a death sentence,
To cull them of light from the few chosen ones.
Honour and faith in the light was doomed,
And dark acts to blacken to soul praised above all.
Ignorant of the vanity that tarnished the light,
That blackened the great golden eagle of the empire,
And that dulled the jewels of amethyst to darkness.
Such is paid in the blood that mar’s his marbled visage
The darkness whispers sweet lies and dark truths,
To those so easily blinded by the reality of them.
And to those with vision unclouded comes death,
Pure, swift and without mercy, it plunges deeply.
One last stand in the deadly ruins of hop

I Am An Author

That's right people - MY BOOK IS HERE!!!!

At 10:29am on January 23rd, by Royal Mail, I recieved the first ever paper-back edition of "Permit Me to Dream", my poetry book. I am so happy to finally have the book in my hands! Finally, my dream of being a published author has come true! Maybe it wont be a huge seller and maybe it could have been done to a higher quality, but this is MY book and I am damn proud!!!

Cue random dancing for joy!

The book is 155 pages with a total of 100 pages. Now it wont be available for purchasing for about two weeks...but I do have a cost...yeah...um...I've been advised that it will be a retail price of £9.95. I am hoping that this price will either come down or they will translate to cheaper than an exact conversion, but if neither of these are true then we're looking at $13.70 US or $16.90 Canadian. I know it's pretty steep for a poetry book, but honestly guys even if just one book is sold, I'm going to be happy. I hope you guys all get a chance to buy the book and I'll do what I can to see if we can get a price reduction on it, even if it means cutting down on my part of the profits.

I'll keep you posted on the date the book opens for purchasing.

Until next time...

Lord (and now official published author) Steven Caulfield.
