Literature Text

Some kneel before the heavens and they pray
Some look to a star to guide them on their way
Some open the bible and look to the psalms
But some, yes some, look to their lucky charm

They wish for fortune beyond imagination
Others just long for a friend instead of isolation
The rich want more money, more than they can dream
The poor just want clean water, a clean river, a stream

The selfish desire more land and power over all
The loving just wish for the strength to help those who fall
But what matters most is the truth that we perceive
After all, what use is a lucky charm if one does not believe?

This was originally written as a gift to ~MokubaLover because she's really canny lass (for those who don't speak Geordie, a 'canny lass' means 'a really nice girl/woman') who makes me smile everytime we speak.

So Haldo everyone and enjoy!

You can find this poem in my book 'Permit Me To Dream' which you can buy on amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.ca and other online book stores.
